Prince Harry and Meghan’s son, Archie, is a boy of eclectic tastes, his father revealed in an exclusive interview with talk show host James Corden that was released last night.

The TV personality and royal sat down sat down in an open-air bus as the two toured Los Angeles, getting up to various hijinks but pausing to give us some insight on one-and-a-half-year-old Archie’s Christmas gift.

“My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker. (So the Queen) sent us a waffle maker for Archie.” Now Meghan whips up an organic mix, revs up the waffle maker, feeds baby Archie “and he loves it.”

“Archie wakes up in the morning and goes, ‘waffle?'” immediately wanting mom’s homemade brekkie. Harry also gets in on the waffle-making fun. He likes to smear some yogurt and jam on his waffles with a few berries.

As well, the young royal is far too classy to have his first words be “mama” or “dada.” No, Archie’s first word was apparently “crocodile,” Harry revealed to Corden.

“Three syllables,” the prince boasted.

And now, as the couple is expecting another baby, Archie is charming them with singing songs and stringing together a handful of words to form sentences.

Meeting Meghan

Corden also took a moment to ask Harry about when he knew his now-wife was “the one.”

“The second date I was starting to think ‘wow, this is pretty special,'” Harry said.

He also gave a little snippet of what dating is like as a royal.

“Dating with me, or any member of the Royal Family, is kind of flipped upside down. All the dates become dinners or watching the TV or chatting at home. Eventually, once you become a couple, then you venture out to dinners, to the cinema and everything else. So, everything was done back-to-front with us. So, actually, we got to spend an enormous amount of time (as) just the two of us,” said Harry. “There were no distractions. And that was great.”

The two also took a moment to chat about the couple’s stepping down from the Royal Family.

Harry was quick to say, “It was never walking away. It was stepping back rather than stepping down. It was a really difficult environment, as I think a lot of people saw. We all know what the British press could be like and it was destroying my mental health…. This is toxic. So I did what any husband and what any father would do. It was like, ‘I need to get my family out of here.’ But we never walked away.”
