Plenty to do at Wallaceburg library

The library in Wallaceburg is offering different ways to pass the time while COVID-19 restrictions are in place.

The public library is offering story kits, play packs, board games of puzzles to go along with a bag of books to encourage screen-free time during the pandemic.

A news release from the library said it can also provide a selection of DVDs for a family movie night.

“If your family is the outdoor fun type, you might choose the ‘Sand and Snow Play Pack’ or borrow snowshoes along with an Ontario Park Pass for your family fun,” the release said.

Public library members can borrow a 2021 Ontario Parks annual vehicle permit from any branch. The passes are loaned for seven days and provide day use access to any Ontario provincial park.

“Passes were provided by Ontario Parks as part of their library day-use vehicle lending program,” the release said. “The motivation behind this program is to help Ontarians spend more time in nature.”

Passes can be requested online and a limited number of passes are also available as part CKPL’s Express Collection.

Items from this collection are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Members can ask if one is available at the curbside service at their branch.
