PM’s virtue signalling The COVID prison hotels are an authoritarian imposition by PM Trudeau, who allowed untested access to Canada from China and other COVID hotspots for all of 2020. These new rules attack snowbirds who have travelled south for years and pose little COVID threat to Canada. Florida, which has the largest senior population in the U.S., has no lockdowns, a booming economy and a lower death count than many other states. The hotel stays are just a virtue-signalling effort by Trudeau, whose leadership is the prime reason we have the level of COVID we have in Canada.
EDITORIAL: Trump’s legacy defined by one day
President Donald Trump has failed in spectacular fashion to recognize his election loss. He hasn’t yet conceded to president-elect Joseph Biden. Indeed, Trump has since Nov. 3 been on a relentless campaign to reverse his loss. He has turned to the court and political systems, and has even asked an election commissioner in at least one key state to “find votes.”
